This is why you don’t leave comments
I’ve had so many phone calls from those of you who know me to tell me how much you enjoy visiting my new blog and I thank you.
When I ask why you didn’t leave a comment I invariably get pretty similar replies like:
“Although I read your posts, agreeing with some and notice you’ve omitted a couple of points I would have included.
I’ve never commented before and don’t have the confidence to start now.”
“I’d love to, but I’m too shy.”
“I’m worried about making a fool of myself.”
“What will the neighbours think?”
This is why you should
You can sit around with friends and family and confidently discuss things that really piss you off but wouldn’t dream of sharing your views with strangers in case they label you a rebel or troublemaker.
You’re ignored by just about everyone in authority, decisions are made and laws passed that you don’t like, but still you say nothing.
You’re being made to look and feel like a sheep being herded by a very few thousand ambitious shepherds and just accept this is the way things are.
If you continue to allow yours and your family’s present and future life style and standard of living to be dictated by others you will ultimately find yourself living under a dictatorship.
I’m not being melodramatic
If you think about what I’ve just said you’ll realise that I’m just stating a simple fact.
Mrs Thatcher spent billions of Tax Payers’ money removing just about all the Trades Union Leaders’ teeth because they had the affront to stand up to her.
She persuaded this nation that Unions were bad for the working person because they caused too much trouble – for her!
Who do you have right now to stand up for your rights?
You certainly wouldn’t expect your MP to go out of his or her way to help (with a very small number of exceptions).
So who have you got?
Do you seriously think there’s only you? That you’re just one voice crying in the wilderness?
What about everyone else who feels the same way?
Most of the population of this country have been “dissuaded” from demonstrating their feelings by previous and present Authoritarian Administrations.
Ordinary people are afraid to publicly show their feelings today because they’ve watched how British Police have started to behave in London over the last few years (under Home Office orders).
And that’s the way they want you to remain – to mind your own business – do what you’re told – and continue to be a “law abiding citizen.”
How many of you are there?
Well we both know there’s only one of you BUT there are millions like you.
Your one comment can inspire 2 more and these two another 10 until you have hundreds then thousands of voices.
I often call it People Power but prefer to think of it as DEMOCRACY!
Think about what I’m saying – I’m not advocating rebellion – I just don’t want you and tens of millions of other decent people to discover in a very few years time that it’s too late to undo what you’ve allowed to happen!
Besides I have to live here as well!
